French marine cosmetics brand Phytomer, have been well-established within the global skincare market for over 40 years, and retain a large share of the French and US spa markets. Although Phytomer has always had a presence within the UK beauty market, the presence of the brand had been diminished in recent years. Enter Catalyst. Working closely with Australian Bodycare (Phytomer’s newly appointed UK distributor), Catalyst embarked on a concentrated PR and marketing plan designed to revitalise the brand in order to put Phytomer firmly back on the radar of all UK beauty professionals and the target market consumer.
Catalyst’s beauty team embarked on a Phytomer re-education programme with the trade and consumer press, combining events with a concentrated schedule of desk side appointments with a targeted press list, to ensure the “new” Phytomer concept was fully understood. Underpinning this was the Catalyst, definitive and easy to understand message for the brand and its products, to convey the scientific discoveries of Phytomer’s Research & Development team and their unique ingredients.
Campaign Strategy and Execution
Catalyst also arranged treatment dates with the press and took a carefully selected team of beauty press to Phytomer’s research facility in St Malo, all of which generated much coverage and tremendous good will towards the brand. Catalyst creates consistent coverage with one press release per month being sent containing new product information; these results in Catalyst often being contacted in advance by the relevant press who want pre-information for features and articles they are writing.
Catalyst has also implemented a strategic regional PR and marketing campaign, to support the growing number of stockists of the brand, creating footfall for them.
