Last Friday we packed up early to go for our annual Summer Day, so that we could celebrate all our hard work (especially as our Catalyst Autumn/Winter Preview Event was such a success the week before)!
Despite the terrible weather we were all in good spirits as we had being looking forward to the
Summer day for weeks! This year our Summer Day took place in the fabulous Cantina Restaurant at
Vinopolis in London Bridge, which our lovely Directors had organised! (How lucky are we?!) We stuffed ourselves with three scrumptious courses; highlights were definitely the wonderful steak and lamb as well as the incredible melt in the middle chocolate fondant.
After our amazing three course meal, we enjoyed a cocktail in the atmospheric Blue Bar! We were lucky enough to be made personalised and unique cocktails by the very talented mixologist Julian, who was able to make us a bespoke drink based off our favourite flavours and food.
The event gave us the chance to socialise over fantastic food, in a relaxed and cosy restaurant – and was the perfect start to the weekend.
Thanks again to our wonderful Managing Directors for a Summer Day!
Months of hard work paid off last Friday when we hosted our first ever preview event at the stunning Orangery in Cavendish Square.
The all-day A/W preview event saw our clients: Phytomer, Revlon Professional, Sexy Hair, Australian Bodycare, Gelish, All That Jazz UK, Dr.PAWPAW, Alan Howard, MicroCell, Steamcream, Nanokeratin System, Beauty Crowd, Sleek and King of Shaves provide expert advice and knowledge on their fantastic products to press and bloggers! Our Account Handlers guided guests around the room, describing the brands in detail and answering any questions they might have.
Revlon Professional and Sexy Hair both provided gorgeous hair make overs, which completely transformed guests into bombshells! All that Jazz UK were there to glam up everyone’s hands with stunning manicures. These stunning make overs provided both bloggers and press a chance to recharge and pamper themselves.
Delicious food and drinks were provided to help keep press and bloggers happy and hydrated, whilst they mingled and perused the delightful array of products our clients had to showcase.
Guests got a unique insight into our clients new and bestselling products, as well as leaving laden with fabulous goody bags filled with hair products and nail varnish (given generously by our lovely clients).
Throughout the day we were visited by lots of press and bloggers, which kept the room constantly buzzing with the excited talking. The day was captured on social media by bloggers as well as us.
This was a really exciting and special day for everyone involved! We have already gained lots of positive coverage on social media from bloggers and press whom attended.
It’s been a very productive couple weeks here at Catalyst with lots of amazing coverage for our clients!
Hello! Magazine featured Phyomer Sun Expert as a way to help boost your body’s natural SPF protection.
Sleek Hair received some brilliant coverage in last week’s issue of Take a Break with a story focusing on how to get Pixie Lott’s new fringe with their Hair Couture Front Fringe.
Garden Answers ran a crossword competition with High Street TVs Xhose and Modern Barber magazine featured Barbicide’s legendary disinfecting surface spray within the magazines shopping section as well as Big Sexy Hair as a product that barbers loved using regularly.
In other hair news, expert Trichologist Ian Sallis was featured in Woman’s Way with tips on how to look after your scalp.
It was also a fantastic week for coverage in Pro Beauty magazine! Australian Body Care waxing strips and after sun lotion were highlighted as summer essentials. Airbase was featured in the News in Brief section as they have been taken on by Urban Retreat in
Harrods, and also featured in the News in Brief section was The Scratch Star Awards, which took place on the 7th of June.
Following the successful launch of the brand new braid menu from seanhanna salons, we hit the road with BHA nominated Lucie MonBillard for a day of deskside braids.
Braids have been dominating the catwalks and are a major red carpet trend but let’s be honest, it’s not always the easiest of tasks to recreate the intricate braids we’ve seen on our favourite celebs.
First stop was Metro HQ where Lucie created an array of gorgeous braids for the team. The afternoon was spent at News UK with the beauty teams at The Sun, Fabulous and Sunday Times Style where the cascading Waterfall Braid came out top.
This year, it’s all about fuss free hair and having fun with your locks so get ready to break out the elastics, stretch out your fingers, and unleash your inner hair stylist with step by step guides and video tutorials at www.seanhanna.com/braids
