To kickstart the promotion of Woody’s in the UK, Catalyst suggested appointing a UK ambassador to represent the brand. It was important we chose someone that truly represented the the intended Woody’s audience, someone that suited the brand and was already established in the UK. After much consideration, Jamie Jewitt was chosen and appointed UK Brand Ambassador. With this we opened the doors to lots of opportunities. We could utilise the celebrity status to achieve interview based features and product placements in a range of consumer titles. Jamie was the right demographic to take the brand to new heights, we made good use of the contact inclusions and used the partnership to gain PR outreach, created content and also hosted a successful event.
Catalyst PR was appointed to handle the UK PR and Social media for no fuss male grooming brand Woody’s in February 2018. The following outlines the starter activity that was implemented by Catalyst to support the UK launch of the product and drastically increase brand awareness amongst the intended audience.
In order to make a noise amongst the UK press and media outlets Catalyst PR arranged a photo shoot with brand ambassador Jamie Jewitt. The idea was to create reusable content for the brand, it also came with great PR opportunities for both Woody’s and Jamie alike. The collection was distributed to the press and picked up by several leading consumer and trade beauty magazine titles. Associated and linked to product placements and interview features, the imagery represented the brand in the right way. Jamie also promoted the photo shoot to his huge social following of 799K
To maximise the potential of the appointed brand ambassador, Catalyst PR organised an event in central London. The event would showcase the brand for the first time in the UK and have the brand ambassadors presence to anchor in the guest list. The event was attended by a host of press from consumer, mens and national titles. We also had a great response from bloggers and influencers who attended to check out the new brand and the new ambassador. Several buyers were also in attendance. The event was a great success, Jamie Jewitt spoke to the guest about why he has chosen to work with Woody’s promoting the brand as fuss free, simple grooming for men. Well received by all, everyone left happy with their new collection of Woody’s Grooming and a photo to keep from their meet and greet with the UK ambassador.
