19 May 2010: Corioliss gets Presidential seal of approval
US InStyle Magazine recently interviewed Michelle Obama’s personal hair stylist, SoftSheen- Carson’s Johnny Wright, for their April issue. In an article on how to get ‘Michelle’s elegant look’ Johnny claimed it was all down to the styling irons he uses! “I’m in love with the Corioliss Flat Iron. It’s made with titanium, which is less damaging than other metals.”
So why choose Titanium over ceramic?
Corioliss Titanium plates are the perfect choice for Mrs O, as the mirror smooth surface work with protective negative iron technology, to glide effortlessly through the hair, sealing in moisture for a glossy, silky finish. Reaching temperatures of up to 210⁰c in less than 20 seconds, the plates expand to guarantee perfect alignment when straightening, preventing hotspots and providing faster results that last all day!
30 March 2010: The crimper gets rated!
Let’s Get Crimping…By Anna Jury 2010 5:17 PM in Hair
When crimping announced its grand return on the Cheryl-Dannii X-Barnet show last winter, I was sceptical.
My only experience of crimping was last November, when we crimped our hair for a birthday party.
Our tool of choice was my friend’s mid-nineties crimping irons, a large and clunky white plastic piece of equipment which filled my flat with the smell of burning hair.
But I was quite pleased with the result – it was a distinctive look on the night and the little crimped sections that lasted for the next couple of days were a fun addition to my locks.
Fortunately, with Corioliss’ Slim line Titanium Crimpers, £59.99, hair no longer needs to go through the frazzling, feather-creating trauma mine did.
They’re based on all the technology put into their straighteners – titanium plates, adjustable temperatures and everything else to make the styling as easy on your hair as possible.
As they’re slim line, they’re perfect for crimping your roots or the under layers of your hair to create volume. Or for just a little section a la Dannii’s quiff. Or for that all-over crimped look seen on Tyra Banks.
But if the thought of crimping still gives you the creeps, you can get on trend by taking the lead of celebs such as Madonna, Lindsay Lohan and Leighton Meester.
They’ve all been snapped with their hair in relaxed crimps, like the ones you get from putting your hair in lots of little plaits while its wet.
This is a relaxed, pretty and easy-to-achieve style, so I’m sure we’ll be seeing a lot more of it in the coming months.
